Yo Yo Quilt is Finito

And here it is. . . nothing came loose in the wash. I was afraid it might, but it looks lovely.

Oh, and if anyone should happen to want one like it, I'd suggest here at Gooseberry Patch. Now that I've finished one, I'd say $150 is a bargain if you consider the time involved. Making it was worth the experience & entertainment for me, but I wouldn't part with mine for that much.

I. LOVE. THIS. QUILT. That's awesome! You did a fabulous job. Isn't it funny how companies can sell quilts so cheaply? You probably have close to $150 in supplies alone. I'm sure yours is much better made. (That doesn't sound like proper english, but you get the idea!) You should be so proud! Wow. Wow. Wow. I just love it! And your pictures are beautiful. I'm stopping now to go back and admire it all! Congratulations!

I just found your blog and I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about it, starting with the name of it!!! LOL That red/white yoyo quilt is simply gorgeous!!! Makes me want to pull out red/white fabrics and start making yoyos. LOL And girl, that is nothing 'beginner' about you!!! I have only made it through the first couple of months of your blogging, but from that I can tell you, you do beautiful work!! I can't wait till I have more time to come and play in your blog some more!!

I know this was posted like a year ago, but would you mind explaining how you attached the yo yo's to the white backing fabric? Thanks

Nothing special done to attach them. They are just hand stitched down.

My yo yos are ready to go. How did you do your background? Did you do whole cloth, squares or strips? I’m not sure how to start. Your quilt is lovely.
